A pinch of this....a dash of that...

So...I spent the weekend with two of my friends and we had a total blast! For some reason we all started talking about weddings and the types of weddings we each wanted! Which got me to thinking...and I've always thought that I wanted a contemporary wedding with fushia and zebra! But then I thought about all the things I love and one of my most favorite love stories is The Notebook. Which then led to many google searches of "notebook inspired weddings" and "1940's vintage inspired weddings" and, of course, a viewing of The Notebook. After looking through many pictures of weddings that fit the above description, I totally fell in love! It is so cute and totally romantic. I love vintage stuff anyways but this takes it to a whole new level! And I think that "vintage" is just something that is common amongst my friends and I because we all want some sort of vintage!

I'll give you just a few of the ideas that I found, I'm sure you will find them incredibly cute as well!!
  • Dance to the song that Allie and Noah danced to in the street!
  • Make the dance floor look like the street with a cute traffic light hanging above to resemble the scene in the movie!!
  • Have a Black and White photo booth!
  • Favors that are like notebooks with your story in it!!
  • And have carnival foods like cotton candy and such!
  • I also found these really cute invitations that are based on The Notebook!!

Also, the other night my step-mom started talking to me on facebook! And she told me that her and my dad would help me get my plane ticket to Idaho and get a laptop for school! That will be such a help. I've been working and trying to save as much money as I can, but plane tickets and computers are really EXPENSIVE! I also might be going out to Oklahoma to visit them. It will be the first time I will have seen them since the summer before my freshman year!! Just to put that in perspective, I just graduated high school! So it's a pretty big deal!

And one last thing! My job had been working us like crazy but now that school has started back and there isn't quite a demand for shoes our hours have been cut back to the scrawny 17 or so hours a week. I've been thinking about working at the hospital PRN as a CNA. (PRN mean as needed) But I'm really afraid to work as a CNA because I'm afraid that I will mess up or not be good enough! I know that I was the best person in my class, I even recieved the award out of the entire senior class for Pre-Nursing and I won 5th place at the national level for Nursing Assisting. Despite all of this, it is so easy to hurt someone and that is the last thing I want to do. The great thing about working PRN is that I would get paid time and a half (around 16.50/hr) and I would get to keep my job at Shoe Show with a steady income. I am just really bad with change and I just don't know what to do!!

What do you think??

BEST. NEWS. EVER

I just found out the best news in a really long time, so therefore I'm just going to over exaggerate and say ever!!! I just found out that a really great friend of mine will be going to Rexburg at the same time that I will!! We are going to the same school and we're on the same track!! That makes me UBER excited...now I normally don't use the word 'uber' but I just felt like saying it!! Any who, I was so happy I started crying!! He and I have been friends since I was like 7 or 8!!! And what makes this even better is that just before I found this out, I thought that he was going to the marines which made me EXTREMELY sad. But now I know that he isn't going to the marines and he's going to Idaho!! Dang....my difficult day just got WAY BETTER!!! : )
